Refer to the spiral bound ALL-BOND 2 TECHNIQUE GUIDE for specific instructions.
Apply ALL-ETCH®* (10% H3PO4) on freshly instrumented enamel and dentin for 15 seconds with agitation on enamel or use UNI-ETCH®* (32% H3PO4) for 15 seconds without agitation. Rinse thoroughly. Use the air syringe for 1 or 2 seconds to remove excess surface water but DO NOT DESICCATE. ALL-BOND 2 requires MOIST dentin and enamel, free from saliva contamination.
Dispense and mix equal amounts of Primer A and B in the mixing well. IMMEDIATELY replace caps on primer bottles. Apply five consecutive coats of primer to the entire preparation including enamel. DO NOT DRY BETWEEN COATS. After ALL-BOND 2 primers have been applied, carefully but THOROUGHLY evaporate the solvents with the air syringe. Dry all surfaces for 5-6 seconds with an air syringe to ensure thorough solvent and displaced water removal. ALL properly primed surfaces will appear glossy. If surface is not glossy, repeat mixed primer application.
HINT: To control drops and avoid wasting primers:
1. Hold the bottle in an upright position and squeeze gently.
2. While squeezing, invert the bottle and continue to squeeze one or two drops as needed.
3. Gently releasing the grip on the inverted bottle will force the primer back into the bottle. Replace cap immediately after use.
For direct composite restorations, apply a thin layer of D/E RESIN* (DENTIN/ENAMEL BONDING RESIN) over the primed surfaces, light cure for 20 seconds at 500mW/cm2. Equal numbers of drops of PRE-BOND™* and DENTIN/ENAMEL BONDING RESIN can be used as a dual-cure bonding agent that will self-cure or light cure. PRE-BOND can also be used to overcome the accelerating effect of set primers on self and dual-cure composite systems. Place and finish selected composite. To significantly decrease wear of composites, seal the margins and surface with BISCO’s FORTIFY™* Composite Surface Sealant immediately following the final finishing step.
STORAGE: Store at room temperature (22°C/72°F). See individual component labels for specific expiration dates. Primers are subject to evaporation, keep bottles tightly capped.
PRECAUTIONS: UNI-ETCH and ALL-ETCH contain phosphoric acid. Avoid splashing into the eyes. If etchants come in contact with the eyes, flush with copious amounts of water and seek medical attention. Unpolymerized resins may cause skin sensitization in susceptible persons, in case of contact with the skin, wash thoroughly with soap and water.
