ORTHO-TWO™
Orthodontic Direct Bonding System (Paste/Paste)
Self-Cured

ORTHO-TWO is an orthodontic two-paste direct bonding system. The micromechanical bond to enamel utilizes the acid etch technique and Bisco's unique composite chemistry.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Thoroughly clean the teeth to be bonded with pumice in a rubber cup or bristle brush. Take care to avoid irritating the gingival tissue since slight bleeding may cause contamination that could affect the quality of the bond.
2. Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water. Isolate the teeth and dry with the air syringe.
3. Dispense Gel Etchant into a mixing well. Dab etchant for 20-30 seconds on the surfaces to be bonded.
4. Rinse etched teeth thoroughly to remove all traces of acid. Re-isolate and dry teeth to be bonded. The etched areas should appear chalky-white. If not, reapply etchant for an additional 30 seconds.
5. Dispense equal amounts of Bonding Resin Catalyst and Base into a mixing well and mix thoroughly for 10-15 seconds. Apply a thin coat to the prepared enamel surfaces.
6. Dispense equal amounts of ORTHO-TWO Catalyst and Base Paste and mix on a mixing pad for 10-15 seconds. Apply mixed paste to the bracket back in sufficient quantity so that the bracket is completely covered when pressed onto the tooth surface.
7. Place bracket with moderate pressure starting from the gingival toward the occlusal so that excess paste will move toward the occlusal surface. This will facilitate easier removal of excess paste. Once paste begins to gel on the mixing pad, do not attempt to place additional brackets. Also, do not attempt to realign a bracket once gelling begins.
8. Arch wires may be placed 7 minutes after the last bracket is positioned.
9. When re-bonding is necessary, remove all hardened material from the tooth surface. Re-etch for 30 seconds and repeat bonding procedure.

STORAGE: Store at room temperature (22°C/72°F). See individual component labels for specific expiration dates.

CAUTIONS: Unpolymerized resins may cause skin sensitization in susceptible persons. In case of contact with the skin, wash thoroughly with soap and water. Phosphoric acid is a severe eye irritant, in case of eye contact flush with plenty of water, get medical attention. Avoid contact with skin and mucous membrane with phosphoric acid, in case of contact flush immediately with water.
