TESCERAFLO™*
Dual-Cured (Light/Heat) Flowable Composite

GENERAL INFORMATION

TESCERAFLO is a dual-cured (light/heat) composite designed to be used for direct (light) or indirect (light/heat) restorations. It can also be used in the conventional direct method where a flowable low modulus composite is needed. TESCERAFLO is intended to be used with ALL-BOND®* 2, ONE-STEP®*, or ONE-STEP PLUS, or similar universal dental adhesive systems.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR DIRECT TECHNIQUE

1. Isolate tooth with a rubber dam and clean entire surface with a slurry of pumice and water.

2. Prepare cavity in a conservative manner. Avoid using Eugenol based materials underneath composites, since they may inhibit complete polymerization of adhesive and composite material. The adhesive will seal the tubules and will serve as the liner or pulp capping agent for deep areas.

3. Etch both dentin and enamel with UNI-ETCH®* (32% phosphoric acid) or TYRIAN™* SPE for 15 seconds. UNI-ETCH requires a thorough second rinse. TYRIAN SPE requires blot drying. See product instructions for more information. DO NOT DESICCATE! The ALL-BOND and ONE-STEP Adhesive Systems prefer a visibly moist dentin and enamel surface.

4. Apply an adhesive, such as ALL-BOND 2, ONE-STEP or ONE-STEP PLUS according to the manufacturer's instructions.

5. Select the appropriate shade of TESCERAFLO and place the provided disposable needle tip on the TESCERAFLO syringe. Place 2mm increments of composite into cavity preparation and light-cure each increment for 40 seconds at 500mW/cm2 until cavity preparation is completely filled to the cavosurface margin.

6. Check the occlusion and finish. After finishing, apply a surface sealant such as FORTIFY™* or FORTIFY PLUS, according to manufacturer's instructions, OR
If using BisCover™*, finish and apply BisCover according to manufacturer's instructions. These products will improve marginal integrity and reduce wear and staining.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR INDIRECT TECHNIQUE

1. Isolate tooth with a rubber dam and clean entire surface with a slurry of pumice and water.

2. Prepare cavity in a conservative manner. Avoid using Eugenol based materials, since they may inhibit complete polymerization of adhesive and composite material. The adhesive will seal the tubules and will serve as the liner or pulp capping agent for deep areas.

3. Make impression of prep using vinylpolysiloxane (VPS).

4. Prepare a die using a fast-setting VPS die material such as Bisco QUICK-DIE™*.

5. Follow curing instructions as stated in TESCERA™* ATL™* Procedural Overview:
A. Place TESCERAFLO as the initial increment on the die. Cure.
B. Place the dentin increment using TESCERA DENTIN. Cure.
C. Place the enamel increment using TESCERA BODY and/or INCISAL. Cure.

6. Place the die and sculpted composite in a suitable light/heat curing unit such as the TESCERA ATL™* curing unit.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FABRICATING A FIBER REINFORCED BRIDGE

1. Apply a small amount of TESCERA DENTIN in the area on the abutment where the fiber reinforcement material will lay.

2. Apply a small amount of TESCERAFLO onto the fiber reinforcement material and saturate the TESCERAFLO into the fibers with an instrument.

3. Adapt TESCERAFLO coated fiber reinforcement material to the abutment.

4. Tack cure on abutment.

5. Continue adding additional increments of TESCERA composite. Follow curing instructions in TESCERA ATL Procedural Overview.
