Description

5% Sodium Fluoride Varnish with Tri-Calcium Phosphate

FluoroCal is a 5% Sodium Fluoride Varnish with Tri-Calcium Phosphates (TCP) that is both calcium and fluoride releasing*. Upon application to dentin and enamel, FluoroCal penetrates and seals exposed dentin tubules and provides immediate sensitivity relief to hypersensitive teeth.  It is available in Spearmint, Bubble Gum, and Green Apple, each flavor sweetened with Xylitol.

What are the benefits of Tri-Calcium Phosphate in a Fluoride Varnish?
When applied to the tooth, Tri-Calcium Phosphate (TCP) allows for enhanced protection against demineralization. Studies have shown that Fluoride varnishes containing TCP can help strengthen enamel and inhibit the progression of initial primary enamel lesions.1     

Is FluoroCal allergen free?
FluoroCal is both gluten and dairy-free, making it safe for patients with gluten or dairy allergies. However, FluoroCal should not be used on patients with colophonyallergies/sensitivities.

How soon after application of FluoroCal can patients eat or drink as normal?
The patient should be instructed to refrain from eating or drinking for 1 hour after application of FluoroCal.

Is prophylaxis (deep cleaning) of the teeth required before applying FluoroCal?
Only the tooth surface requires cleaning before applying FluoroCal. Prophylaxis is not required.

How many applications can be applied with each FluoroCal unit-dose?
If applied in a thin layer, both upper and lower arches can be covered (about 32 adult teeth).
