The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.
In episode 13 of our BISCO Bite series, we discuss what the smear layer is. The smear layers consist of calcific debris that is produced when dentin enamel and cementum are instrumented. In total-etch bonding, the smear layer is removed with phosphoric acid, leaving freshly cut exposed dentinal tubules for bonding. In self-etch bonding the smear layer is kept and incorporated to the adhesive. When the smear layer mixes with the adhesive, the pH of the adhesive becomes neutralized and allows for a better bond.
