Question Asked on 4/30/2014

What is Immediate Dentin Sealing (IDS) and when should it be used?

Answer Response by Dr. Suh on 4/29/2014

IDS (Immediate Dentin Sealing) is when you seal the dentin with an adhesive at preparation for indirect restorations. This technique allows for freshly cut dentin to be sealed and protected during provisionalization, ideally used whenever dentin is exposed during preparation.
