Selective Etch - Select HV w/ BAC
The selective etch technique is the application of phosphoric acid to enamel only.
BISCO Recommends
Select HV® w/ BAC is a high-viscosity phosphoric acid etchant designed for precise enamel placement and controlled handling during selective etch procedures. Paired with All-Bond Universal®, a universal adhesive and BISCO's recommended adhesive for bonding restorations.
STEP 2
Apply Adhesive
Apply two separate coats of All-Bond Universal, scubbing the preparation with a microbrush for 10-15 seconds per coat. Do not light cure between coats.
STEP 3
Evaporate solvent
Evaporate solvent by thoroughly air-drying with an air syringe for at least 10 seconds; there should be no visible movement of the material. The surface should have a uniform glossy appearance; otherwise, repeat Step 1-2. Light cure for 10 seconds.
STEP 4
Placement
Continue with placement of the restorative material according to the manufacturer's instructions.
