Grab a beer and press play on the newest dental podcast, Bonding and Beer. Bonding and Beer is a dental podcast sponsored by BISCO, hosted by BISCO’s Manager of Clinical Marketing, Dr Rolando Nuñez.
The Bonding and Beer podcast discusses adhesive restorative dentistry and reviews craft beer. Released every other Tuesday, Dr. Nuñez, also known as Ro, uncorks a new beer and dives into the world of dental bonding, sharing insights, telling stories, and answering your questions.
When it came to creating the podcast, it was an easy decision to mix Ro’s two passions for both subjects. “He has so much knowledge and is such a character, it just made sense to put him in a studio with a camera, a beer, and a dental topic and just let him rant,” said Jeremy Faletto, Bonding and Beer’s Producer.
Ro obtained his DDS degree from Central University in Venezuela. He later completed a Biomaterials Program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he received an MSc in Biomaterials. Ro has served as a clinical and research consultant for BISCO Inc., where he now acts as Clinical Marketing Manager. He has lectured worldwide in both academic and commercial venues. His main topic of interest is the development of novel restorative materials and clinical protocols applied to restorative dentistry.
With the vast selection of podcasts available, what makes this one different from other dental podcasts?
"We are trying to not only share information regarding restorative dentistry but also mixing it with a fantastic and popular past time, BEER DRINKING. Listeners will learn about beer styles and craft beers available, and they will be able to appreciate a thorough review of the beer being consumed during each episode. Oh, and also, there will be information about Restorative Dentistry; let's not forget that," said Ro, host of Bonding and Beer.
Bonding and Beer is a podcast that caters to its audience, whether answering a question or trying out a new beer. "We want to answer your questions, get your beer suggestions, and talk about the topics you want to hear. Our goal is to have our listeners enjoy learning about new dental topics (with a beer in hand) in a fun, silly, and sometimes chaotic way," said Faletto.
