All-Bond 3 and All-Bond SE were formulated to be more hydrophobic by incorporating a highly cross-linking monomer, in addition to Bis-GMA and adhesive functional monomers such as BPDM and BisMEP. However, since highly cross-linking monomers are not adhesive-promoting monomers, All-Bond Universal was formulated, optimized with an adhesive-promoting, hydrophobic adhesive functional monomer with a higher Partition Coefficient (P).
