Description
Self-Cured Base Increment Composite
Bisfil 2B is a low-viscosity, self-cured hybrid composite that is both radiopaque and rapid-setting. It is specifically designed to be used as the base increment in a Class I or II restoration. Bisfil 2B is available in a Universal and A3/A3.5 shade.
Bisfil 2B 5g base and catalyst syringes, when used together, can provide approximately 15 applications.
Unique Benefits
- Rapid setting eliminates time spent with incremental placement of light-cured materials
- Bisfil 2B is self-cured, which does not cause shrinkage stress like light-cured composites during the curing process
- Low viscosity gives ideal flow into undercut areas
- Radiopaque and easily identified on radiographs
Clinical Significance
- Bisfil 2B can be used in the Directed Shrinkage Technique. All composites shrink upon polymerization, the net effect of the Directed Shrinkage Technique is to direct polymerization toward the tooth, improving adaptation to the preparation.
